You can, but she'll be all D':

☆ Is there anything ought not be mentioned near this character?: NOPE.

☆ Is there anything you need us to know about interacting with this character? Special physical features, fighting abilities, STUFF: She's a blackbelt in Karate, and pretty strong. But she won't chop you into submission unless the situation calls for it.

☆ Anything else, please mention here: Don't let her cook for you. 8D

No anime soul vampires here.

Appearance: http://pics.livejournal.com/jumpsamurai/pic/001gpsbz

Psychology: Orihime is probably the sweetest girl in existence. She's always willing to help anyone, or work to see someone else's view when it comes to conflict. Despite having great healing and destructive powers, she has never considered using her powers for anything aside from good, and often has trouble harming others, even if they threaten her life. She has some deep self-esteem issues, constantly believing she is powerless, or generally unwanted when it comes to helping her friends in battle, and sometimes just in life.

But despite her self-esteem issues, she always tries to appear happy and supportive. She doesn't want to burden others with her problems, or make them worry for her. She rarely mentions her lonely lifestyle, with no real family to speak of. Even though she constantly feels lonely when outside of school or her friends' presences she rarely, if ever, brings this fact up.

In times that aren't plagued by severe and oppressing problems, Orihime is bubbly, and prone to wild daydreams. She often goes into a catatonic state while dreaming, sometimes even drooling. She also either oblivious, or very tolerant about sexual comments, and advances made to and on her by others. These are very frequent, because of her large chest and sweet personality, but it is usually implied that she is too innocent to really comprehend what is being said.

Orihime is the second most intelligent student in school (according to the MAGICAL RANKING LIST, anyway). While she had the smarts to reach such a high rank in school, she lacks common sense, or what some might call "street smarts". Her classmates have even remarked that she is too stupid to work electronics, such as a cellphone. She has a tendency to say really off the wall things, or generally break societal rules (like nearly removing her shirt in front of Ishida, because she forgot he wasn't Tatsuki). Her daydreaming often lends to this aspect of her personality. She stated that she has been struck by cars several times, due to wandering into the street while not paying attention.

Other Skills/Abilities: Orihime's ability would be the Shun Shun Rikka. Her hairpins house six fairy-like creatures, which are the embodiment of her soul's power. With these, she can create one of three different "shields" (They usually appear as large glowing translucent discs). Orihime uses her power by reciting an incantation for each shield: "[name of specific shield], I reject!"

At the point I am taking her from, using her powers takes quite a toll on her. It also takes some time to fully heal someone (In one particularly bad case, it took her nearly an entire nite). AND as for the shields themselves, in more detail:

One shield, Koten Zanshun, has the power to cut through any solid matter. Orihime is very reluctant to use this power in most cases, as she lacks the resolve to truly hurt someone, even if they are an enemy.

The shield she uses more often, Santen Kesshun, can shield Orihime, or anyone of her choosing from physical harm. Magic and physical attacks are both stopped by this.

The last, Souten Kisshun, is used the most by far. This shield actually rejects any event from happening. In essence, it heals. Even people near death, with their bodies ripped apart, have been returned to their whole selves with this shield. As long as the target is still living, they can be returned to a healthy, unwounded state with this power.

Also, thanks to Tatsuki's training, Orihime is a black-belt level fighter.

Other Weaknesses: Aside from generally being human, there isn't really anything else to put here.

History: Orihime started out with what were most likely abusive parents. When her brother turned 18, while Orihime was still very young, he took her away from her parents and made a new life for them. Orihime was very happy, and loved her brother dearly. While her home life was happy, she was bullied and teased at school by other girls. Orihime had very long and light colored hair, which was something of a rarity in Japan. She even went as far as to have her hair cut short in an attempt to stop the bullying.

After giving Orihime a pair of hairpins, Sora, Orihime's brother, was killed in a car accident. Orihime had refused to wear the pins, before his death, saying they were childish. In reality, she simply didn't want to draw attention to herself, because of the bullying. Once Sora died, Orihime felt immensely guilty about the argument, and promised to always wear the hairpins he had given her.

After losing her brother, Orihime began to live on her own, with monetary support from distant relatives. Her bullying was eventually stopped by Tatsuki Arisawa. And Orihime eventually began to wear her hair long out of respect for her relationship with Tatsuki. She and Tatsuki became closer, and Orihime often stayed at tatsuki's or ate meals with her family. Over time, Orihime became popular at school, and because of her large chest, was lusted after by many of the students. Orihime was oblivious to this for the most part.

Orihime became one of the top students at Karakura high school, second to Uryuu Ishida, whom she also attended handicraft club with. School, and life in general were pretty plain and normal for Orihime, until Rukia showed up. Rukia had saved Ichigo from a rampant hollow, by tranferring her Shinigami powers to him. Unbeknownst to pretty much everyone though, Ichigo was the son of an exiled Shinigami. OOPS. So his magical leaking spiritual powers gave everyone close to him some powers. Or rather, brought out the power they already had within them.. Or something crazy. This included Orihime.

Orihime discovered her powers when she and her friends were being attacked by a magical tentacle hollow. When the hollow took over Tatsuki's body, Orihime was overcome with emotion, and suddenly used her powers. It was a good thing too, because Rukia's friend and brother were on there way to put Rukia in Shinigami jail, so she could be executed. So Orihime was picked up by the crazy old shop keeper, and dropped off, along with Chad, to be trained by his magic cat friend.

After Rukia got Namek'd, they joined Ichigo and Ishida and headed off to Soul Society to save her. In soul society, Yoruichi led the group to the Shiba household. Kuukaku Shiba agreed to help the kids get into the Seretei, and taught them how to create a shield that could allow them to penetrate Seretei's barrier. THEN SHE SHOT THEM OUT OF A CANNON.

Ichigo and Ganjyu ended up fighting, and ruined the whole operation. Their protective ball ended up bursting, and shot everyone in different directions inside Seretei. Orihime ended up landing with Ishida, and together, the two tried to get to Rukia without being noticed. This plan actually went well for some time. Orihime ambushed two Shinigami, and stole their clothes, so she and Ishida could blend in. Ishida and Orihime began to respect each other more as they traveled together. Ishida was impressed by Orihime's resolve and willingness to help, but he still thought her temperament was not suited for battle.

It was true, Orihime had real problems when trying to injure another, even an enemy. When the two where ambushed by Mayuri, Ishida ordered a random Shinigami to grab Orihime and run, so that she might be safe. And so he did! Eventually, Orihime ended up with the eleventh division. After explaining the situation to the eleventh division captain, Zaraki Kenpachi, Orihime got their help in breaking Ishida, Chad, and Ganjyu out of jail (where they had been placed after their respective battles), and the group then traveled to the Execution place, to try to stop Rukia's sentance from being carried out.

They made it there in the nick of time, and found out that half of the Shinigami were secretly douches, and turned traitor. They were simply after the magic rock thing that Urahara had hidden inside of Rukia. So, there was a big fun fight, and all the evil Shinigami took off to Mexico (Hueco Mundo). Rukia got to go free, and Orihime got to help heal all of the wounded after that, and became something of a wonder to the fourth division.

After all of the crazy Soul Society exploits, the group, including Orihime, bid fairwell to their new Shinigami friends, and returned to the material world. Leaving Rukia back in Soul Society where she belonged. It was after returning to her home, that Orihime would discover the Astral Plane.

Deviance: For one, I am taking Orihime from a point in the plot that is relatively old. Not before or after the series, but from.. around the middle of it. At this point in the plot, it seemed very possible that her romantic interest could lean toward Ichigo OR Ishida. More current chapters have completely doused any possibility for romantic feelings toward Ishida, BUT I WANT THEM BACK. I don't want a creepy emo Orihime that tries to molest Ichigo in his sleep. So for my deviance, Orihime never really developed feelings for Ichigo. I also don't plan to advance Orihime along the canon any further than from where I am taking her.

Reality Description: Orihime resides in present day Tokyo. She usually rents very small studio rooms, in the relatively quiet Karakura Cho district. She attends Karakua high with the rest of the main cast, which is generally a very normal Japanese high school.

Orihime's world is plagued by attacks from beings known as Hollows. Hollows are the souls of dead humans that have remained in the material world for too long, and have yet to be sent to Soul Society by a shinigami.

Orihime also has access to visit Soul Society, should she need it (just after the point I am taking her from, Rukia takes her to Soul Society so they can train together). Soul Society is, surprise, where souls go to rest. It is strikingly similar to Edo period Japan in appearance. There are several different districts around the Seretei in various stages of poverty with correlating crime rates, these areas are called Rukongai. The Seretei itself is like a large city where the Shinigami reside. When someone attempts to tresspass into Seretei, a large wall descends that is made of a spiritual energy blocking stone. It prevents any attacks that might damage it. Seretei is much nicer in appearance than Rukongai and houses far more shops and such.
